Driveclub’s PS Plus version still needs a lot of server development; Dev working with new manufacturers to bring new cars

Before the game's appalling online issues, DriveClub was forced to face serious criticism for its decision to run at 30 frames-per-second.

Driveclub developer Evolution Studios has been updating their PS4 exclusive racer non-stop over the past months. After the introduction of new Japanese tracks and the APEX DLC pack that was released recently, the developer released a video and the new car has not been revealed. Apart from the fact that the car is insanely fast, there were no other details.

Game director Paul Rust has been teasing fans some more and lets fans guess the name and brand of the ultra fast vehicle:

The developer has spoken out on Twitter today about the highly anticipated PS4 Plus version for the game that was promised a long time ago. The version for PS Plus owners remains a point of debate for a lot of players.

On twitter the developer was asked on the progress of the plus version for the PS4 racer and it seems the team is making progress but there is still a lot of server development needed:

Driveclub has been releasing a lot of updates lately and the seems seem to be holding up pretty well. At the time of writing this, they report:
"Servers are now unavailable while we update them to improve performance & stability. Start 1pm GMT | End 3pm GMT (or sooner)"

Its really great news for car enthusiasts; the developer has confirmed that they are in fact working with NEW manufacturers to bring new cars to Driveclub:
