Ty Majeski wins at New Smyrna Speedway in the iRacing sponsored Ford Fusion. (sort of confusing when a real car has an iRacing logo and the driver is an iRacing regular).

"Ty Majeski will carry the iRacing colors on his Super Late Model Ford Fusion at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway, February 13-21. Competitors in the event run seven races in nine nights, with an overall champion crowned after the finale a week from Saturday.

Majeski is coming off a remarkable season that saw him earn 2014 ARCA Rookie of the Year honors on the way to becoming the youngest champion in the history of the ARCA Midwest Tour. What’s more, he captured three straight iRacing Late Model Tour crowns and became the first person whose iRating topped the 10,000 mark.

Although the Wisconsin-based Majeski has done the majority of his racing in the Midwest, he feels like he’ll be on familiar ground in Florida.

“New Smyrna is on iRacing, so I’ve been running the Super Late there for the last month or so since we got the word that we were going,” he says. “I really like our chances down there.

“I think it would be really cool to bring a championship home. That’s a high goal but if we get the car right, we can do it.”
