I know a lot of us are not crazy about Melbourne but it is the one track where there are no shortcuts so it really is fair and it takes a great deal of skill. Putting together 10 good laps takes a lot of concentration...at least for me it does.

Indy, I suspect your troubles were due to both of us probably in that thread at the same time. That's one of the hurdles. The leaderboard is treated as an individual thread within proboards, not like a database. It's one of the drawbacks of proboards, but it's privacy features for our members was Pip's foremost concern, and proboards is probably the best solution for that.

I had a better lap time in this one 53.621 but Indy put me in the wall on the previous so I had to take him out and finished with a 9:41.

Dang. I just tried to get there, oakie, and I was sure I had it. Every lap except blaster and and lap 8,9,&10 were in the 49's, the highest I had was 54 & change (except for blaster, which was 1:04 or 1:06 or something ). But when the time popped up at the end it said 8:41!?!? I am calling for a steward review of live timing. I just knew I had killed that one. Now I have a mission. Goodbye weekend plans.

WTG Vinny! Hella improvement. Good job. In chasing Oakie's time, I have managed to get myself up to 8:50 total time. That don't seem right. I think that the issue is that Oaktown is on PST, and I'm on CST. I'm sure there's some kind of advantage there. And Roo is in Australia, where I think they are on the metric system, which everybody knows metric things are shorter than imperial things.

I get that gig Walter....with twin 5 year old grandsons.....grandma and grandpa are cheap babysitters and were good...haha...well sometimes....there have been times when I got them all sugared up and sent them home.......payback...lol.

Your not bringing down anything....your participating and hopefully your having fun with a good group of people....there will be races where being fast or slow won't matter...just being there will matter and trust me you now have friends if you friend the people here that you can ghost and you will be amazed at how much you will improve....this is not an easy game...it's a lot like anything else in life, you get better with practice. Practice is the key. I think when the team challenges start again it's going to be important to have a full compliment of 20 players who participate. Just a good balance of people who participate instead of 8 to 10 people who have to kill themselves to keep up.

Haha..I don't think I'm in the top 8...lol. Better yet....I'm good with that...I'm having fun getting better and getting to know more people.

Now...I'm not a math guy at all...but I'm all for any kind of scoring system that's fair to both teams regardless of the number differential of players.

Hey Mike, as long as you are haveing fun and enjoying the game, the rest does not matter. It's funny, but the only way I improved my time on this one, was by slowing down. It's been a crazy week, so I did not get as much practice as I was hoping, but realized that hitting the brakes earlier got me thru the turns without skidding or hitting walls. So, lower speed, better times, go figure.

That might be good advice. I know I tend to get really aggressive on this track and I spend a lot of time banging walls not to mention other cars. I don't know how you guys are getting such good runs with the go kart...i just get knocked around and the BMW is just quicker and bigger...LOL......I love the way the go kart sticks but I guess I just don't drive it very well. I have never driven it much although I remember getting a really good feel with it on the Indy road course...it was like a killer for me on that track. In fact I would suggest a cup race on that track if not for a couple of places where you can take short cuts in cup races.

Thanks for the advice Indy I will try to slow down so I can speed up. I realy like these challenges and I am having fun. I didn't do the gold cheat thing when I started playing over a year ago and I am at a point in the game where need 600 to 1000 coins to get a new car so these challange are the only fun left in the game for me. I have gotten faster by racing my teamates so for now guess I am just the slowest guy on the fastest team which is much better then being the fastest guy on the slowest team.
